Milind S Raj ("RentoLoop", "we", "us") operates the RentoLoop platform for automated rent collection and management for PG accommodations and hostels. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Phone Numbers & WhatsApp Messaging

We collect phone numbers from property owners and tenants who use RentoLoop. Phone numbers are used solely for: (a) account authentication via one-time passcodes (OTP), and (b) service and account-related updates sent via WhatsApp, such as rent reminders and payment confirmations. We do not sell, rent, or share phone numbers with third parties for marketing purposes.

Payment Information

We do not process or hold funds ourselves — rent payments are made directly between tenants and property owners via UPI apps (such as GPay, PhonePe, or Paytm). To verify these payments, we collect: - The UPI ID provided by the tenant or property owner for identification purposes - Screenshots of payment confirmations submitted by tenants as proof of payment, along with details extracted from them (amount, date, and transaction reference) for verification - Records of payment status (paid, partial, pending, overdue) associated with each tenant's account Payment screenshots are stored securely and retained for as long as the associated tenancy is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for record- keeping and dispute resolution. We do not have access to, and do not store, your bank account details, UPI PIN, card numbers, or any other sensitive payment credentials — this information is never shared with us at any point in the payment process.

Data Storage & Security

Data is stored securely using Supabase infrastructure with encryption at rest.
